ABSTRACT TIGHTNESS DEVICE BETWEEN THE CONVEYOR BELT AND THE COLLECTING BOX WITH ONE OR MORE COMPARTMENTS OF A VACUUM BELT FILTER. Tightness device between the conveyor belt and a fixed vacuum box in a belt filter, wherein said device comprises a single endless friction belt, which is not integral with the conveyor belt but which is driven by it and guided over the vacuum box, said friction belt comprising cavities provided with communi- cation apertures which correspond with an upper opening of the vacuum box, said cavities being wider than the discharge holes provided substantially in the center of the conveyor belt.
