ABSTRACT A radio transceiver includes an antenna, a transmitter, a receiver and an antenna switching circuit for selectively connecting the transmitter and the receiver to the antenna in response to a transmission/receipt control signal. The antenna switching circuit is made up of a series connection of a first diode and an inductor, and a second diode and a filter is connected to the antenna and the antenna switching circuit. The improvement involves connecting the series connection between one end of the filter adjacent to the antenna and a given potential point, the junction of the first diode and the inductor being connected to an input of the receiver and the second diode being connected between the other end of the filter and an output of the transmitter. The invention solves the problem of loss of receiver sensitivity complementary to insertion loss which prior-systems experience.
