ABSTRACT A self-aligning device used for connecting track plates (1,2) of an articulated track (15) consists of a connector (13) provided with guide surfaces (19, 27) and of track pins (3, 4) having lugs (7) at the ends. When the connector (13) is hammered or pressed onto the track pins (3, 4) the lugs (7) slide on the guide surfaces (27) in a slot (24) in the connector (13), said slot having guide surfaces that are approximately parallel. Thus, the angular arrangement of the track plates (1, 2) relative to each other is established by self-alignment.
