1 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention consists of a method and device to peel citrus and other fruit having a skin, characterized because the fruit is placed on a rotating support base being arranged a knife which is tangential to the surface of the fruit, being rotating, and which moves on the tangential line in relation to the rotating speed of the fruit. This device is based on an electro-mechanical performance and consists of an axis of revolution on which the orange is placed which remains fixed between the end of said axis and an upper head provided at the end of a tilting arm moved by a lever. On the other arm is mounted a cutting knife provided with a rotating or back and forth movement. By means of an electro-motor are driven three independent shafts, one to move the orange bearing axle, another to move the cutting knife and the third one to move and shift the arms until reaching some final upper and lower stops.
