ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A primer composition consisting essentially of 75 to 99 percent by weight of alkoxymethyltriazine and 1 to 25 percent by weight of 3-glycidoxyprepyltrimethoxysilane, 2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ekhyltrimethoxysilane, 3-mercaptopropyltri- methoxysilane, 2-mercaptoethyltrimethoxysilane or a partial hydrolyzate of the silanes is employed to improve wet and dry adhesion of thermoplastics to solid substrates.
