POLYPHENYLENE ETHER RESIN BLENDS MODIFIED WITH SATURATED DIBLOCK COPOLYMER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The impact strength after molding of blends of polyphenylene ether resin and non-EPDM rubber modi- fied polystyrene resin is enhanced by the inclusion of a hydrogenated diblock copolymer of an alkenyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene compound. The molded properties are comparable to those obtained with corresponding blends containing a triblock copolymer as an impact strength enhancer, but the diblock offers an economical and readily available alternative to the triblock.
