ABSTRACT For transporting cigarette groups within or in conjunction with a packaging machine, a pocket conveyor is used, and in these pockets, each receiving one cigarette group, are connected to one another so as to be free of play and free of wear by means of connecting joints with rolling bearings. As a result, the pocket conveyor can be used as a high-performance conveyor for cigarette groups with exact relative positions.
