ABSTRACT The invention provides a series of structures which can be used to build display systems for attachment to the walls of a retail outlet or the like. A series of clamps are provided for attachment to the walls to hold upright members in position and to retain decorative panels between the upright members. The arrangement is such that fasteners used to attach the clamps to the wall can not be seen after the structure has been assembled. To achieve this the basic clamp is made up of two brackets which interengage with one another and provide attachment portions for fixing to the wall and a holder defined between a pair of holding portions, one on each of the brackets. The panels are attached to the wall by physical engagement with the clamps such that to one side of a clamp a panel is located between a first attachment portion of a first bracket and a holding portion of the second bracket whereas the panel on the other side is retained by the attachment portion of the second bracket and the holding portion of the first bracket. Other brackets are provided to extend around corners and to hold secondary uprights in position for displays extending away from the wall.
