USE OF HYDROPHOBICALLY MODIFIED WATER SOLUBLE POLYMERS IN SUSPENSION POLYMERIZATION Abstract of Disclosure Use of hydrophobically modified nonionic cellulose ethers or ethylene oxide copolymers leads to improved particle size and less latex formation in suspension polymerization pro- cesses. Cellulose ethers are modified with a small amount of long chain (C6-C25) alkyl radical. Ethylene oxide copolymer is ethylene oxide copolymerized with C6 to C24 epoxide.
