31 ABSTRACT: A disc holder for a rigid optically readable disc is intended for transferring a disc to a turntable of a disc-record player by means of a loading device. The disc holder comprises clamping means constituted by at least two clamping members, which are each provided with at least one clamping element, which members are situated near two opposite sides of the disc holder and which are each connected to a coupling member which can be coupled to the loading device. At the lower and the upper side of the disc holder the clamping members are each provided with an inner edge which is curved about the centre of a disc which is clamped in the disc holder. Between the inner edges of each clamping member two clamp- ing walls of the clamping element are situated, which walls are disposed at an acute angle relative to each other. The coupling members and clamping elements can be moved away from each other and towards each other to release the disc from the disc holder and to retain the disc, respectively.
