- ? - A B S T R A C T A PROCESS FOR THE REMOVAL OF OXALATE IONS A process for the removal of oxalate ions from an aqueous solution containing iron chelate or chelates of nitrilotriacetic acid and decomposition products thereof, including oxalate ion, by contacting the solution with an amount of a composition capable of providing hydrogen ions in said solution sufficient to precipitate ferrous oxalate, under conditions to precipitate ferrous oxalate, and precipitating ferrous oxalate and separating precipitated solid from the solution.
