ABSTRACT There is described a lawn mower having a housing supported on ground engaging wheels. A motor is mounted in the housing and drives a cutter blade through a clutch mechanism. A control handle is movably mounted on a handle which is in its turn mounted on the housing. A linkage is connected to the control handle to the motor and to one of the wheels for selectively propelling the housing along the ground in response to movement of the control handle, a control element movably mounted on the control handle, and additional linkage means connected to the control element, to the motor, and to the clutch for selectively engaging the clutch in response to con- trol element movement to rotate the cutter blade.
