Abstract Of The Disclosure A method of removing undesired impurities from a crude solution of endothelial cell-growth factor (ECG) by applying the crude solution to immobilized heparin to bond the ECG to the heparin, separating the remainder of the crude solution from the bound ECG, eluting the ECG from the heparin by contacting the immobilized heparin-ECG with a salt solution, to separate the ECG, and recovering the ECG-containing salt solution. The method permits purification of ECG to the exclusion of other proteins detectable by silver staining.
