THE ABSTRACT The invention is a dry flushing toilet wherein an animal excretes onto a measured portion of absorbant granular material (litter) dispensed onto a circular tray from an adjacent hopper. The filling of the tray with litter is accomplished by rotating it under the outlet of the hopper. Contaminated litter is dis- posed of through a hole in the centre of the tray into a lower storage container when a simple shutter is opened.
