ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A multiple group of line adapters in a data-comm I/O subsystem is controlled by a microprocessor which provides for selection and control of components associated with each line adapter in the organization. Each line adapter is operatively controlled by the microprocessor and a logic decoder is provided for decoding command signals from the microprocessor and conveying the signals to a specific line adapter in the line adapter organization.
