ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A swivel joint between two lengths of pipe com- prises a male connecting piece on the end of one length of pipe and provided with a circumferential groove therearound housing a substantially annular split collet providing an abutment surface extending radially outwardly from the male connecting piece, and an externally threaded nut mounted on the male connecting piece the front face of which is adapted to react against the abutment surface on the split collet. The joint further comprises a female connecting piece on the end of the other length of pipe the internal surface of which is threaded to receive therein the threaded nut and is recessed to receive therein, in bearing engagement, the split collet. An annular seal reacts between opposed radially extending surfaces of the male and female connecting pieces to effect a radial seal between the two connecting pieces on screw-threaded, swivel interconnection thereof.
