Abstract of the Disclosure A method is disclosed for improving the storage stability of a polymeric article susceptible to hydrolysis. The method comprises applying to the polymeric article a storage stabilizing amount of a mixture of a water soluble hygroscopic polyhydroxy compound or ester thereof and 8 compound having the general formula Image wherein R is hydrogen or methyl, R' is an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal and n is 0 or 1, or a hydrate thereof. Polymeric articles susceptible to hydrolysis, but having improved storage stability are also disclosed, which contain a storage stabilizing amount of the above mixture.
