ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Fluid exchanger apparatus for exchanging a first fluid with a second fluid in varying proportions and having a fluid exhaust for exhausting a first fluid along an exhaust flow path, a fluid inlet for inducting a second fluid along an inlet flow path, a transfer duct device extending around a curved flow path from the exhaust flow path to the inlet flow path, and providing a smoothly curved transfer flow path therebetween, the transfer duct having a movable portion and a fixed portion, the movable portion being movable relative to the fixed portion to move into and out of fluid flow connection, and power operated means for moving the movable portion relative to the fixed portion.
