ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A quick reverse mechanism is provided in a reversible conveyor system. A conveyor rocker beam having a deflection pulley at each of its ends is connected to selectively controlled hoisting devices on the tripper. The conveyor belt is guided underneath the rocker beam near the discharge pulley, in either direction of travel of the conveyor system, that is, belt loops are formed in two different positions of the rocker beam for opposite directions of delivery. The axles of the deflection pulleys of the rocker beam are each guided by two pairs of arcuately slotted guide members, arranged opposite each other on the conveyor structure adjacent the tripper. A pair of additional deflection pulleys are provided, both at a predetermined height on the conveyor structure, or, alternatively, one of the additional deflection pulleys is positioned at a fixed height, with the other deflection pulley being movable vertically, so as to effect reversal of the tripper.
