A polyvinyl chloride resin blend having a high heat distortion temperature, comprising a blend of 60-80 percent by weight of a polyvinyl chloride resin and 20-40 percent by weight of a rubber modified copolymer of a vinyl aromatic monomer, such as styrene, and 14-28 percent by weight of maleic anhydride, the copolymer containing at least one rubber which is a block copolymer rubber of styrene and butadiene or an epichlorohydrin rubber. These resin blends containing a rubber modified copolymer are useful in that they have a higher impact strength than the unmodified copolymer and can be used where a rubber of good light resistance is required.
