ABSTRACT The invention relates to a composition for a peelable solder mask. The composition comprises a mixture of a vinylic resin, a microcrystalline wax, and a solvent. Applied as a film coating, the composition is used to provide a temporary mask to selected areas of an electric circuit prior to exposure to a solder flux. The solder mask is readily peelable.
