Abstract A series of difluoronucleosides have been found to be useful antineoplastic agents. In the compounds, the base portion may be, for example, a pyrimidine or purine base, and the sugar portion may be, for example, a difluoroxylose or difluororibose. The compounds are used to treat both solid and non- solid tumors, including, for example, leukemia, myeloma and lymphosarcoma.
