The invention concerns tetrahydroderivatives of factors A1, A2, A3, A'1, A'2, A'3 of antibiotic A/16686 and mixtures thereof; The tetrahydroderivatives are produced by hydrogenation of the above mentioned factors, preferably by catalytic hydro- genation. The compounds have antibacterial activity, in particular, against widely diffused gram positive bacteria and are particularly useful for topical treatment of wound infections and acne.
