A STORAGE CONTROL SYSTEM IN A COMPUTER SYSTEM ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A storage control system in a computer system having at least a main storage unit and a memory control unit, the storage control system comprising: two memory areas provided in the main storage unit, each of the two memory areas storing the same information; and a double-writing device provided in the memory control unit for writing the same information to each of the two memory areas by determining a state of a double-writing bit (D-bit) contained in an address order from a processor or a state of a storage configuration bit (F/S-bit) sent from the processor.
