ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of protecting useful cultivations from the toxic action of non-selective herbicides, comprising using, as antidotes, a compound selected from N-dichloroacetyl-2-thiazoli- dine-carboxylic acid and the methyl ester of N-dichloroacetyl-2- thiazolidine-carboxylic acid. The present invention also provides as novel compounds a compound selected from N-dichloro- acetyl-2-thiazolidine-carboxylic acid and the methyl ester of N-dichloroacetyl-2-thiazolidine-carboxylic acid.
