ABSTRACT A redispersible silica dispersion is provided containing selected water-soluble cationic surfactants, the dispersion being characterised in that the particle size range concentration and pH are selected to allow minimal amounts of surfactant to stabilise the dispersion and, optionally, a preservative may be added to maintain the dispersion free from microbial contamination.
