- 24 - Abstract of the Disclosure A sheet-like oxygen scavenger for preserving foods or other article in an oxygen-free conditions. This oxygen scavenger is composed of a mixture of fibrous material, iron powder, water and electrolytic material and formed into a sheet-like product by a process which is similar to a paper making process. This sheet-like oxygen scavenger may be covered with gas-permeable film or laminate film. A method of manufacturing the sheet- like oxygen scavenger is also disclosed.
