ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is an improved self-loading magnetic head slider used for recording and reading data on a magnetic storage disk. The improved slider is characterized by the addition of aerodynamic designed wings used for lowering the slider close to the surface of the disk to a designed head-to- disk separation as the disk is rotated. The magnetic head slider does not contact the magnetic storage disk surface.
