A B S T R A C T PREPARATION OF POLYMERS OF CARBON MONOXIDE Linear alternating polyketone terpolymers built up of units -(CO-D')- and -(CO-E')-, in which D' originates from alpha-olefins D such as ethylene, and E' originates from other mono-olefinically unsaturated compounds E such as butene-2 or maleic acid anhydride, and wherein the molar ratio D':E' is less than 1000, are prepared in the presence of a specific palladium-based catalyst system.
