ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The preparation of dibenzo[b,f]thiepin compounds by a process comprising the reaction of an ortho-toluyl-aryl sulfide with an aryl bromide, thereby yielding the compound having the following formula III: Image III which is then reacted with NaH and LDA in a suitable solvent to yield the following dibenzo[b,f]thiepin Image which are useful as prostaglandin antagonists or as intermediates in preparing prostaglandin antagonists.
