ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There are disclosed novel multifunctional additives for power transmission shift fluids such as automatic trans- mission fluids which are diethanolamides or diisopropanola- mides of alkyl thioglycolic acids or boron, phosphorous or metal reaction products thereof. These additives provide the properties of anti-oxidation, H2S suppression, corro- sion inhibition and friction modification.
