Case6042(2) ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Conversion process A process for the conversion of hydrocarbons in which a gaseous fuel or an oxygen containing gas is passed through a reactor comprising a foraminous cone so as to mix with oxygen containing gas or a gaseous fuel issuing from a nozzle located at the throat of the cone. The resultant fuel/oxygen containing gas composition is fuel rich and is ignited and reacted in the reaction chamber. The produces of the process may be withdrawn and collected.
