68200-68 ABSTRACT This device can be used for centering sheets, of paper for example, picked up from a pile within the feeding station of a machine designed for carrying out an operation, such as printing, on the sheets. The device includes a carriage shiftable both sidewise on rails and vertically between two side guides. The carriage is permanently assembled with a bar carrying several lifting suction cups. The sidewise travelling. of the carriage is achieved by means of a pinion engaged with a rack. The rotary motion of the shaft carrying the pinion is achieved by means of an electric motor linked to a reduction gear.
