Apparatus for use in welding Abstract An apparatus for feeding particulate materials and consumable welding wire to a weld area for deposition in desired amounts includes a wire feed mechanism (25) and three material feed units (21, 22, 23). The wire feed mechanism and the three material feed units are independently controllable thus enabling the rate at which the consumable welding wire and the particulate materials are fed to the weld area to be adjusted independently of one another.
