ABSTRACT The present invention generally relates to high temperature electric heaters for use as simulators for nuclear fuel rods in testing the performance of nuclear reactor fuel designs, and more particularly to the fabrication of simulators which closely match the physical characteristics and thermal characteristics of an actual nuclear fuel rod or pin, but may also be useful for general purpose ultra high temperature heaters.
