Abstract of the Disclosure A paper bag having a pinch closure provided with a tab extending from within the bag between the portions of the walls of the bag in the pinch closure and projecting out of the pinch closure, the projecting portion of the tab being adapted to be grasped and pulled to tear the bag open at the pinch closure, and a method of manufacturing it involving pro- vision of a bag tube, opening up the tube at one end, and in- serting the tab in the tube.
