Elles sont caractérisées en ce qu'elles contiennent, d'une part, une partie au moins du patrimoine génétique de cellules d'hépatocyte de singe et, d'autre part, un marqueur gé- nétique leur permettant de pousser dans un milieu selec- tif ou contenant un principe actif normalement léthal pour les cellules VERO dont l'hybride est issu, mais inactivable par le polypeptide exprimé par ledit mar- queur génétique.
