CA 1263567

Abstract of the Disclosure A seed drill, for spreading seed and/or fertilizer, comprising a frame, a storage tank and coulters, the coulters being connected to the frame and, by means of pivotally mounted struts, lying one above the other accordingly defining upper and lower struts and extending at least approximately parallel with each other, forming parallelogram type mountings, and being adapted to move in a vertical plane. In order to provide a substantial improvement in the coulter mountings for use with direct seal drill machines, especially in soils containing firmly seated rocks or other impediments, and thus to prevent damage to the coulters and their mountings in the event of heavy lateral overloading of the coulters, at least one of the struts of the parallelogram type mount- ing is made resilient.
