60557-3530 ABSTRACT An end cap arrangement for sealing an end of a splice closure about at least one cable member directed therein; said end cap arrangement comprises: a wall member having first and second opposite faces, an outer edge, and at least one long- itudinal cable bore. Each cable bore is defined by a plurality of substantially concentric ring members spaced from one another by transverse wall sections positioned generally centrally along a longitudinal extension of the ring members and bore to define with the ring members, a ridge/trough arrangement of alternating ridges and troughs. The ridges are directed in both of opposite longitudinal directions from the transverse wall sections. The transverse wall sections on opposite sides of each associated ring member being longitudinally spaced from one another to form a undulating central wall extending through the concentric ring members and substantially normal thereto. Mounting means for mounting the end cap arrangement on a cable member directed through said bore, includes a slot communicating partially through the wall member, from a position adjacent to, but spaced from, the wall member outer peripheral edge and toward the cable bore, the slot also communicating partially through the wall member between the first and second opposite faces.
