ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A magnetotherapeutic plug enables the treatment of rectal and vaginal inflammations, especially treatment of hemorrhoids by direct action on inflamed tissue as well as treat- ment in cases of mucus discharge or pruritus ani, and comprises permanent multiple magnetized magnetic core. The plug is adapted to the anatomic shape of rectal and vaginal cavities, so that it provides a reliable contact with the tissue, without sharp edges that could damage the tissue during use, so that it is applied easily and simply and stays in place without falling out during the treatment. The magnetic field of the plug is constant, and the poles configuration is in the shape of rings, longitudinal bands, or other geometrical figures. The magnetic flux density does not exceed 80 mT, preferably being from 20 mT to 40 mT. The application procedure comprises a ten-days treatment, 1 to 4 hours daily. The procedure wherein the plugs with different magnetic poles configuration are used alternately, e.g., ring- shaped first and then the shape of longitudinal bands or in some other combination, is the most convenient.
