Abstract: A topical dressing is manufactured from a strip-shaped assembly of dressing structures. Each such structure has an aperture to receive a topical treatment substance bounded on one side by a layer of skin adhesive protected by a peel-off backing paper and sealed on its other side by a foil strip. The adhesive layer may be carried on a strip of microporous material which is secured to the foil. The aperture may be sealed after insertion of the topical substance by a second foil strip which is secured peripherally to the first foil strip. The first foil strip may be perforated to permit easy release of the portion of foil supporting the substance and the adhesive coated material so that this can then be bonded to the skin.
