Abstract In a mixer tap with a housing, two outlet connectors branching from a mixed water passage are provided in the housing. One outlet connector is associated with a direct outlet and the other with a shower head. The mixer tap also comprises two closable regulating valves fox the flow of mixed water, one associated with each outlet connector. The regulating valves axe provided with a common control element (6). The control element fully opens the one regulating valve (6, 12, 14, 15) in one of two predetermined positions and shuts the other. The control element also fully opens the other regulating valve (6, 11-13) in the other predetermined position while shutting the one regulating valve at the same time. The control element shuts both regulating valves in an intermediate position. In this way, one obtains simplification in construction and operation when compared with a mixer tap having an automatic mixing valve arrangement and two independent regulating valves for the flow of mixed water.
