ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention comprises a sanitary beverage con- tainer having an enclosed straw which is automatically straight- ened and repositioned above the container when it is opened by pulling back the opening tab thereof. The straw is so positioned pulling back the opening tab thereof. The straw is so positioned that the lips and the mouth do not contact the top or walls of the container while drinking the contents from the container, thereby avoiding contamination and bacteria frequently associated with the top and sides of the container.
