POLYISOCYANATE BLENDS WITH IMPROVED COMPATIBILITY WITH COREACTANTS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention is directed to polyiso- cyanates which have improved compatibility with poly- ester coreactants and improved solubility in apolar solvents, the polyisocyanates containing, based on solids, a) about 15 to 85 wt. % of an isocyanurate group-containing polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate and b) about 15 to 85 wt. % of a biuret group-containing polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate. The present invention is additionally directed to two-component polyurethane coating compositions based on the above polyisocyanates and branched polyester polyols. Finally, the present invention is directed to a process for preparing the polyisocyanate.
