METHOD FOR DRIVING A GAS TURBINE Abstract of the Disclosure A method for driving a gas turbine in which air is passed through a bed of particulate material including fuel with the quantity of air being insufficient for complete combustion of the fuel but sufficient to generate a com- bustible off-gas. Additional air is added above the fluidized bed to complete the combustion of the fuel and produce flue gases. The off-gas is discharged from the vessel and is combusted to raise the temperature of the flue gases before they are passed to a turbine.
