ABSTRACT A drinking straw comprises a tube for passage of a liquid to be consumed, and a second tube closed at its ends and forming a flotation chamber. The straw is packaged in a drink container and retained by the container closure. Upon removal of the latter to open the container, the end of the straw moves into a projecting position under the influence of its buoyancy.
