ABSTRACT A two element net anchor is disclosed. A clampable element is attached to the substratum of a playing surface. The clampable element includes a hemispherical protrusion. A jawed clamp is affixed within the post of a net with a portion of the jaws protruding therefrom. The jaws may clamp to the protrusion in order to anchor the net to the playing surface. A plunger extending through the wall of the net post may be depressed in order to open one jaw to release the jawed clamp from the clampable element.
