ABSTRACT A shower fitting for a domestic installation comprises a shower head, which can be held in the hand, and which comprises inlet connections adapted to be connected by flexible conduit to supplies of hot and cold water. The shower head comprises a body, the interior of which is formed to provide a mixing chamber to which hot and cold water is delivered, and from which water flows to a spray outlet of the shower head. The temperature of the water flowing from the shower head is controlled by a thermosatatic control member on the body, which includes means for positively shutting off the flow of water from the shower head.
