A B S T R A C T A laundry feeding machine has a conveyor in which articles are fed after being held by a suction holding device (8) at the front of the conveyor. Simultaneously with release of the article from the suction holding device, suction is applied to a tunnel 2 enclosing the conveyor. This sucks the leading part of the article in and onto the conveyor.
