ABSTRACT A carry bag of thermoplastic sheet material is disclosed which has a carrying handle of thermoplastic material, the walls of the bag being joined to each other at both side edges by means of a weld. The bag has bottom folds opposite the opening of the bag and a single carrying handle loop is arranged in the area of the base folds. One end of this carrying handle loop is attach- ed externally to one of the side walls, the other end attached externally to the other side wall, each by means of a welded seam that is closed to form a ring, so that the bottom folds are free to unfold. The opening is provided with a flap closure.
